بــــــولاق المنشآت التجارية فى العصرين المملوکى والعثمانى دراسة ميدانية أثرية وثائقية (فى ضوء خريطة الحملة الفرنسية)

دراسة قام بها مجموعة من الباحثين برئاسة دکتور محمد حسام الدين إسماعيل عن منطقة بولاق نظراً لأهميتها کميناء للقاهة القديمة وواحدة من أهم المناطق التجارية فى مصر فى العصور الوسطى، وقد ترکزت الدراسة على المنشآت التجارية الباقية منها والمندثرة إعتماداً على الخرائط القديمة والحديثة وحجج الأوقاف ووثائق المحاکم الشرعية المحفوظة فى دار الوثائق القومية بالقاهرة، فضلاً عن المصادر التاريخية ذات الصلة وقد رصدت الالدراسة عدد 18 وکالة باقية.
Abstract:
A study was conducted by a team of art historians on Bulaq, the medieval port of Cairo on the Nile. The research focused on pre-nineteenth century commercial buildings. The aim was to identify the remaining wakalas in Bulaq. Maps from the Descriptions de l’Egypte and old cadastral maps were examined and verified on the ground. Historical sources including cornicles, historians’ acounts, unpublished research, waqf deeds, and court records were examined. The study identified fourteen wakalas from literary sources that have perished and the remains of eighteen other wakalas.
