موضوع هذه الدراسة؛ هو البحث في التمثيل الجمالي للعجائبي في الخطاب الروائي للقصر المسحور؛ وهي رواية معاصرة للکاتبين الکبيرين "طه حسين" و"توفيق الحکيم"، کُتبت عام 1936م، جمع فيها الأديبان بين نزعتين متناقضتين في الفکر الإبداعي؛ أولهما تتعلق بالتحليق في عوالم الفانتازيا وآليات التجريب المحدثة، والأخرى؛ عکس ذلک، تتصل بتوثيق مشاهد الحقيقة والواقع الذي يتعين سؤاله تحت وطأة الميتافيزيقي. وعليه؛ فقد جاء الإجراء التطبيقي في هذه الدراسة؛ إجراء نوعيًا؛ يتقصد البحث في البنية السردية للنص وعلاقتها بالعجائبية؛ وکيفية اشتغال العجائبي في عناصر البناء، والکشف عن وظيفته الفنية والجمالية في خطاب النص.
