التساؤل المطروح في هذه الدراسة هو: هل يمكن للنص الروائي أن يقوم بعملية توجيه القارئ من خلال مكونات بعينها، بحيث تكون هذه المكونات والتوجيهات مؤثرة في عملية القراءة؟
تتناول هذه الدراسة الملفوظات النصية كموجه حجاجي للنص الروائي، وكيف لها أن توجه القارئ من خلال مكونات بعينها، بحيث تكون هذه المكونات والتوجيهات مؤثرة في عمليات القراءة.
ومن هذه الملفوظات النصية: الإعلاء، وهو وسيلة في توجيه القارئ نحو الوجهة التي يريد السارد إقناعه بها.
واستتبع الإعلاء آليات أخرى منها: الاستقطاب، واستعطاف القارئ، والاستفهام كموجه حجاجي، ويُهدَف من خلالها السيطرة على القارئ.
حيث إن الإعلاء وسيلة حِجاجية يتم فيها الرفع من شأن شخصية ما أو موقف من المواقف، ووصفها بصفات موجهة للقارئ.
أما استعطاف القارئ، فذلك عن طريق استمالته أو استعطافه للاقتناع برأي السارد.  
   وأما الاستقطاب فيكون بين قطبين متعارضين، يريد السارد من خلالهما التأكيد على الصراع بين هذين القطبين المتنافرين.
  والاستفهام يكون للسعي نحو التأثير في القارئ، وهو في الحقيقة سعي للإجابة عن أسئلة النص، ويتجاوز دوره الأسلوبي في طلب معرفة شيء مجهول إلى أغراض حجاجية، عندما لا يراد منه إجابات واضحة أو الاستفسار عن شيء مجهول ينتظر منه السائل إجابة ما ممن يخاطبه.
Abstract:
 The question raised in this study is: Can the fictional text carry out the process of directing the reader through specific components' so that these components and directions have an effect on the reading process?
This study focuses on the textual utterances as persuasive tools for the literary text and how they control the reader using certain elements which are influential in the reading process. One of these textual utterances is Elevation which is a method to persuade the reader of a certain point. This method is also combined with other strategies such as attracting, imploring and questioning as a persuasive tools that aim at controlling the reader.
 Whereas, elevation is an argumentative means in which the elevation of a personality or position from positions is made, describing it with wave characteristics for the reader.
 As for the reader's sympathy, by attracting or sympathetic to the reader to be convinced of the narrator's opinion.
And polarization, where it is between two opposing poles, the narrator wants through them to emphasize the conflict between these two opposing poles.
 The interrogation is to seek to influence the reader, and it is in fact a quest to answer the questions of the text, and it transcends his stylistic role in seeking knowledge of something unknown to argumentative purposes when it is not intended for clear answers or an inquiry about something unknown that the questioner expects from him to answer what he is addressing.
