دور المدرسة الأمريکية في تطور نظم المعلومات الجغرافية (دراسة في الفکر الجغرافي)

This study aims to illustrate the role of American Geographical School in developing Geographical Informational System (GIS). It is considered as one of the most rapidly developing countries which is worth studying in this field. As it is known , GIS is a set of procedures represented in collecting and analyzing digital data as well as analyzing maps and air photos and presented as an information tool for decision making, that is why the study comes to show the first  seed for GIS and the levels of its development up to this day, followed by the descriptive and analytical historical approach and the comparative approach. This study showed the importance of these sciences in all the fields of life in general, and in geography of human and nature as an integral part of it. It is importance comes from drawing precise maps reaching accurate results closer to reality and in reaching mathematical samples and hypothesis to solve environmental and societal crises.
تهدف الدراسة إلى إبراز دور المدرسة الجغرافية الأمريکية في تطور نظم المعلومات الجغرافية،إذ تعد من أکثر البلدان التي شهدت تطوراً سريعاً جديرة بالدراسة في هذا المجال، کما معروف أن نظم المعلومات الجغرافية مجموعة إجراءات تتمثل في جمع وتحليل البيانات الرقمية فضلا عن تحليل الخرائط والصور الجوية وعرضها على هيئة معلومات للإفادة منها في صنع القرار، لذلک جاءت الدراسة لتبين البذور الأولى لنظم المعلومات الجغرافية ومراحل تطوره وصولا إلى يومنا هذا متبعه بذلک المنهج التاريخي الوصفي والتحليلي والمنهج المقارن، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أهمية هذه العلوم في جميع مرافق الحياة عموماً والجغرافية بفرعيها الطبيعية والبشرية کجزء لا يتجزأ منها وتأتي أهميتها في رسم الخرائط الدقيقة والوصول الى نتائج في غاية الدقة وأقرب إلى الصحة وإمکانية الوصول إلى النماذج الرياضية والفرضيات لحل الأزمات البيئة  والمجتمعية.
